Dallas, TX, Oct. 23, 2017 — Bringing the next generation to top leadership, RLG Consulting Engineers recently promoted four new principals while unveiling an aggressive growth strategy to double in size by 2022.
Andy J. Ayers, PE, SE, was promoted to Structural Principal. Andy joined RLG in 2001 and has more than 17 years of structural engineering experience. His work encompasses a variety of facilities including medical centers, mixed-use facilities, shopping centers and senior housing. Notable projects include Preston Hollow Village, West Village Blocks 7A &7B, and the Shops at Park Lane in Dallas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University. Ayers also has LEED and MLSE (Model Law Structural Engineer) certifications.
Jared W. Bratz, PE, was named Civil Principal. Jared joined RLG in 2014 and has more than 19 years of civil engineering experience managing design teams to produce multiple concurrent land development projects of various sizes from conception through engineering design to construction completion. Notable projects include the University of North Texas, Health Science Center Park, the Fort Worth iSWM Drainage Reviews and Bartlett Park for the City of Burleson. Bratz serves in leadership roles in several professional organizations and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University.
David A. Cumming, PE, SE, was named a Structural Principal. David joined RLG in 1997 and has more than 20 years of experience in structural engineering. David has engineered and provided oversight on notable high-profile, steel-framed structures including the Great Wolf Lodge, Victory Block G, and the Hockaday School Performing Arts Center. Active in numerous professional organizations, David has a Master’s of Science, Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville.
Michael J. McLaren, PE, SE, was promoted to Structural Principal. Mike joined RLG in 2015 and brought with him more than 20 years of experience in structural engineering. He possesses a vast knowledge of various facility types including of office buildings, schools and colleges, warehouses, correctional facilities, government buildings and healthcare facilities. McLaren is a member of numerous professional organizations and earned his Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering from Bradley University.
