Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern Medical Center formed an alliance as Southwestern Health Resources, to create one of the largest health care networks in Texas. As a result of the partnership, the two medical systems enlisted the help of RLG Consulting Engineers to provide civil engineering and surveying services to build the first jointly owned and operated hospital and medical office building located at Cobb Hill and North Dallas Tollway in Frisco.

The twenty-acre campus includes Texas Health Hospital Frisco, a 325,000 square foot, 80-bed acute care hospital with the ability to expand to 140 beds if needed. The hospital will also include a 24/7 emergency room, surgical services, women’s services, and a neonatal intensive care unit.

The campus will also include the UT Southwestern Medical Center at Frisco, a 120,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic featuring an extension of UT Southwestern’s Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute in addition to the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, which will provide programs for breast and colon cancer.
