RLG History at a glance
1953 Ray Goodson and R.M. Skiles acquire files from Myers & Noyes Engineers, a firm dating back to the early 1900s, and start Raymond L Goodson Jr., Engineers.
1956 RLG begins a consulting relationship with SMU and has been active in the development of the campus for over 60 years.
1964 RLG begins design for the development of NorthPark Center for the Raymond D. Nasher Company.
1971 Raymond Goodson is named ASCE “Engineer of the Year”.
1974 RLG builds an office building for the firm at 3409 Oak Grove Avenue.
1977 RLG is selected for the redevelopment of the Preston Hollow Country Club by Ross Perot for the EDS Forest Lane Campus.
1981 David M Goodson joins RLG to start the Structural Department. David Goodson, John Stull and Robert Wood are named Associates.
1983 Raymond Goodson retires. Norman Harper is named Chairman of the Board and John Stull is named President.
1984 RLG begins consulting relationship with Baylor Hospital.
1986 RLG is selected by Rosewood Properties to design the Crescent mixed-use development.
1987 RLG designs the Tom Landry Sports Medicine Center.
1992 RLG is selected as the prime consultant for the re-development and reconfiguration of the streets at the Dallas Farmers Market.
1995 Norman Harper retires and Presbyterian Hospital bridge completed.
1998 Peter Larson, Michael Powell and Stuart Markussen are named Associates.
1999 RLG designs major additions to the Dallas Arboretum.
2000 RLG designs campus improvements for the construction of the Gerald J Ford Stadium at SMU.
2002 John F Stull named Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. David Goodson named Chief Operating Officer and President.
2003 RLG designs major additions to Hockaday School.
2006 RLG works with University Park to redesign infrastructure for University Park City Hall, Turtle Creek and University Blvd.
2007 RLG designs the re-development of Northpark East into the new Park Lane mixed-use development.
2008 RLG designs the Baylor Sammons/Collins Hospital additions at Baylor Hospital.
2010 David Goodson named CEO and Chairman of the Board. Peter Larson, Michael Powell, and Stuart Markussen named Senior Vice Presidents. John Stull named Senior Director.
2012 RLG designs the streets and infrastructure for the Bush Presidential Center and SMU Blvd.

2013 RLG starts the Forensics Department.
2015 John Stull retires.
2015 Kristina Geisler Nordholm named Associate
2015 RLG opens Fort Worth office.
2016 RLG designs additions to the Highland Park High School and Middle School as part of a $300 million bond package.
2016 RLG opens Peoria office.
2017 David Cumming named Principal
2018 RLG designs re-development of the Old Dallas High School into new class A office space.
2018 RLG names Stuart Markussen as Chief Executive Officer, and names Michael McLaren, Andy Ayers, and David Cumming as Senior Vice Presidents.
2018 RLG celebrates 65 years.
